Lorene was an artist who loved to paint. Many have enjoyed her paintings and even photos of her paintings are held as treasures. She enjoyed the company of her neighbors who, over the years, became family to her. Lorene loved to take road trips and enjoyed the serene beauty of God's creation from the landscape to the wildlife and the people who crossed her life. She soaked it all in. On Lorene's last road trip she spoke of how she wanted to get a map and push pin mark all the places she had been. This road trip was a blessing from God to her four traveling companions. Lorene was traveling to Arkansas to attend her grandson Mike Miller's funeral service on October 4, 2016. Her traveling companions were three grandchildren, Matt Miller of Townsend, Montana, Scott Cunningham of Spokane, Tessie Miller of Colville, and Arlene Schnell of Colville. On the road trip back home, Lorene started to experience severe low back pain. She was admitted to Denver Health Hospital in Denver, CO on October 5, 2016. Lorene did not make it back to her residence in Spokane. Instead she went to her eternal home and entered into the kingdom of heaven on October 7, 2016 where she was reunited with her children, grandchildren, and many other loved ones. Lorene will be greatly missed by many of those she allowed to get close enough to know her throughout her life. Love those whom you have today because tomorrow you may not have them. Thank you, Grandma, for being the arms of Jesus. We will all miss your love hugs.
