Lorentina "Tina" P. FechnerLorentina "Tina" P. Fechner, 95 of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, at the Sanford Medical Center.Lorentina Fechner, daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Lange) Fechner, was born on September 8, 1922, in Tripp, SD. She grew up there and received her education, graduating from Tripp High School. She began working at Northwestern Public Service until transferring to Sioux Falls in 1948, working with Northwestern Bell. She continued there throughout the transfer to AT&T until retiring in 1986.Tina remained busy volunteering for over 29 years with various groups including Sanford Hospital. She was a member of First American Lutheran Church in Tripp, SD, and First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. She was heavily involved with the Telephone Pioneers of America, Sioux Valley Auxiliary, RSVP, and Friends at Dow Rummell.Caring and easy going, Tina enjoyed time baking and working on her stitching "fancy work". She made the best of every day and was very content with life.Grateful for having shared her life are her nephew Michael Fechner and his wife Lila, Delmont, SD; niece Margaret Konrad, Springfield, SD; great nieces and nephews Robert Konrad, Daniel Konrad, Michael Konrad, Darren Fechner, Daniel Fechner, Hotchkiss Fechner; and many other relatives and friends.Tina was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister Virginia; and brothers Ernest and Norris.Visitation with the family present will be from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home, 507 South Main Avenue. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the First Lutheran Church Christ the Victor Chapel with burial at the Grace Hill Cemetery in Tripp, SD. www.millerfh.com
