It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loretta Witherspoon on December 14, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Loretta was born on November 26, 1943, to parents Jonny B and Genella Goodman.

Loretta is proceeded in death by Lee E Witherspoon Sr, survived by her ten beloved children; six boys and four girls: Lee Witherspoon, Tod Turner, Kevin Powell, Edward Partee, Genella Stewart, Azell Witherspoon, Sonya Witherspoon, Heather Tate, Tammy Tate, and Frank Gibson. She is also remembered by her 51 cherished grandchildren.

Loretta attended Hamilton High School before furthering her education at Marquette University. She dedicated much of her life to serving in the Jehovah’s Witness organization, where she found great joy and fulfillment.

Loretta will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, her unwavering faith, and her commitment to helping others. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Loretta, as you are reunited with your loved ones in paradise. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
