On February 1, 2017, Loretta Maria Hansel, 82, passed away at her home in Glen Burnie. Loretta was born on August 17, 1934, in Welfare Island, New York, to the late Mary and Albert Alvarez. She was a devout catholic that worshipped at Holy Trinity, she was a member of the Pascal Senior Center, and was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge 1456. Loretta enjoyed crocheting, reading, and dancing at La Fontaine Bleue on Wednesday evenings. Loretta is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Herbert F. Hansel; her beloved children, Debbie Tworowski, Eugene Hansel, David Hansel, Mary Escalante, Maureen Kerrigan, Kevin Kerrigan, and Kelly Kerrigan; her 12 loving grandchildren; her 10 cherished great-grandchildren; and her dear sister, Joyce and her two nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Herbert F. Hansel, Jr. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Sunday, February 5th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, on Monday, February 6th, at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7436 B&A Blvd., Glen Burnie, MD 21061. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
