Her only grandson Jimmy was very special to her and they spent many adventure weekends at the lake together. She never missed any of his sporting events and was at every game or school activity. She has spent over 25 years with Com Ed in Northern Illinois. And she would always show up with one of her famous cherry pies to any family or friends celebration or for someone who just needed the support. Lori took the opportunity to visit Ireland, her grandmother Theresa (Sheehy) Martins homeland with her Uncle Pat's family, spending 3 weeks there in June. She met and stayed with her cousins from Castlebar to Limerick and Kilkenny to Tralee. She met over 20 relatives who welcomed her with open arms and shared with her many of Irelands historical places and beautiful country side.
