RACINE - Lorraine I. (Nee: Helfrich) Petricek, 88, passed away on Monday March 28, 2016 at The Villa at Lincoln Park. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on July 10, 1927, the daughter of the late Henry and Sally (nee: Rutkowski) Helfrich. On November 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to Berlie M. Petricek. Lorraine was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Salom, and the Senior Group at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah DePelecyn of Racine. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Berlie on June 17, 2000; two sons, Kim Robert Petricek, Randel Steven Petricek; a brother, Walter Helfrich; and a sister, Helen Jacobson. Funeral services will be held at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. Sixth St. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Graceland Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday before services from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Communion Lutheran Church or Hospice Alliance have been suggested.
