KINSTON – Lottie Harper Williams, born on September 24, 1920 in Lenoir County to Joseph and Barbara Hines Harper. Attended Kinston Schools and graduated from Grainger High School in 1938, member of First Baptist Church since 1931 and was a member of Carrie Mae Marston Sunday School Class. She died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. She was an office worker and homemaker. She loved to travel, read, garden and cook for family and friends. Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Roland and Joe, sister Pearcy Sanderson, sons Bob Worthington and Kenneth Partin; husbands Maurice W. Partin, Sr. and Edwin L. Williams, Sr. Survivors include her daughter Donna Holt Creel and husband Robert of Kinston; sons Carl Milton Holt, Jr. of Newport News, Va. and Maurice W. Partin, Jr. of Columbia, MD.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special friends Dick and Darlene Cherry and Frances Powell. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at her daughter's home. Funeral services will be held at the Howard-Carter Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014 with Pastor Terry Coats officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
