Albanese went home to God peacefully surrounded by his family on December 27, 2016.Louie was born on January 4, 1942 in Dover, NJ to James and Mary (Andico) Albanese. He graduated from Dover High School in 1960.Louie lived much of his life in Mt. Arlington, NJ where he was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. He was a devoted Catholic who humbly shared his faith through his warm smile, kind words and gentle spirit.He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, and travelling to Indian Lake, NY. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara (Reilly) Albanese for 40 years. Together they focused on raising their family to enjoy all of the wonderful things life has to offer.Louie dedicated his professional life as owner of Dover Sport Center, where he loved serving his customers since 1969.He is survived by his wife Barbara, his brother John Albanese and his wife Patricia; children Annmarie Westerfield and husband Rob; son Michael Lewis and wife Jackie; son Tony Albanese and wife Lynette; daughter Cheri Zlinsky and husband Dave; daughter Lynne Fomchenko and husband Victor; daughter Bobbie Morici and husband Nino; as well as 16 grandchildren Sean Peterson; Michael Lewis, Elise and Reilly Sheplak; Haley, Stephanie and Brian Fitzpatrick; Alison, Andrea and Jacob Zlinsky; Nicholas, Joseph and Abigail Fomchenko; Nino, Sammy and Dominic Morici, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held 3-8pm on Thursday, December 29th at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A funeral mass will be held 10am on Friday at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, 8 Windemere Ave., Mt Arlington, NJ 07856.
