Louis Junior Kirsch, 73, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville.A native of Washington County, he was born on March 24, 1941, to the late Harlin and Martha Hardesty Kirsch.Preceding him in death was his wife, Shirley Ann Hardin Kirsch on Dec. 21, 2011; an infant daughter, Louann Kirsch on Dec. 23, 1962, and a sister, Bernadine Baker on Aug. 13, 1993.Survivors include four daughters, Tammy Kirsch (Tim Smyth), of Bardstown, Janet Weightman (Phillip), of Sherman, Texas, Kim Shain (Paul), of Bardstown, and Lynley Byrd (Chris), of Bardstown; 10 grandchildren, Christina Smyth, Erin Karr, Amber Smyth, Latosha Shain, Joshua Chesser, Louann Constantino, Katherine Weightman, Nathan Stanley, Madison Stanley and Autumn Byrd; 11 great-grandchildren, Garrett Donahue, Braden Donahue, Jace Smyth, Shyanne Karr, Luis Vicente, Ary'Onna Tonge, La'Mya Tonge, Adian Constantino, Natalie Constantino, Aubree Chesser and Chase Chesser; one expectant great-grandchild; a brother, John Kirsch (Pat), of Willisburg; two sisters, Lois Kennison (Wendell), of Summer Shade, and Alma Deering, of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.The Rev. J.W. Hatfield, pastor of the Willisburg Baptist Church will officiate.Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, and after 8 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.Pallbearers are Josh Chesser, Josh Coulter, Jimmy Tate, Tody Kirsch, Val Coomes and Billy Hardin.Honorary pallbearers are Tim Smyth, Paul Shain, Chris Byrd, Phillip Weightman, Steve Coomes and the grandchildren.Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
