>Louis Nunez Jimenez LUBBOCK-Louis Nunez Jimenez, 96, of Lubbock, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. He was born on Nov. 19, 1920, to Jesus and Andrea Nunez-Jimenez. He served in the United States Army and WWII in the Third Battalion 395 Infantry from Sept. 17, 1940-July 26, 1945, while serving in the Army he was an ammunition bearer, received a Good Conduct Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with five bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and a Purple Heart Recipient. Louis was blessed to able to attend the 2013 Honor Flight. He retired from G & H Casting in 1981. Louis is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audelia Jimenez; one son, Ruben R. Jimenez; and three brothers, Joe Jimenez, Jesus Jimenez, and Raphael Jimenez. Louis leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Rosalinda Jimenez and Olga Moreno (Israel); one son, Louis Jimenez, Jr. (Lori); two sisters, Mary Zaiejke and Erlinda Jimenez Ramos; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Private Disposition will under Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. and Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
