HANOVER Louise Thornley Anderson, 87, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Nancy Johnson, in York. Louise was born on December 6, 1926, in Meyersdale. She was the loving wife of Warren E. Anderson, who passed away in December, 2011, and was the daughter of the late William and Lucille Thornley. Louise graduated from Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia as a registered nurse and was previously employed at Hanover Hospital. Louise is survived by daughters, Christine Anderson of York, Patricia Sullivan and her husband David of Pittsburgh, and Nancy Johnson of York; grandchildren David Sullivan, Jr. of Boston, Mass., Rebecca Sullivan Payne of Suffolk, Va. and Katie Johnson Boyd of Horsham; and great-grandson Henry Payne. Louise had many varied interests including reading, needle point, gourmet cooking, creating shell flower arrangements and she enjoyed playing bridge. Louise was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick St, Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Church. Her remains will be interred at Resthaven Cemetery in Hanover and a private service will be held at the discretion of the family.
