Louise Higgins McFadden led an exceptional life that will prove to be unforgettable God, in His perfect wisdom, presented a gift to this earth through her parents, the late Margaret Palmer Francis and the late Walter Huggins on December 19, 1929 in Charleston County, South Carolina. Louis's life faded away gently and peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at her home.
Louise was a Sweet Grass Basket Weaver and homemaker who loved to share the word of God, Louise's hobbies included gardening, loving on animals and cooking meals for her family, friends and loved ones.
Louise was a member of Greater Goodwill AME Church. Louise was married to the late Silas McFadden and raised eleven children. Four children preceded her death: Silas McFadden, Jr., James McFadden, Louise Jefferson and Walter Huggins.
Louise leaves to cherish her life three daughters: Marie Manigault (Isaac), Ellamae McFadden both of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Princetta McFadden of New York; four sons: Silas McFadden, Melvin McFadden both of Mt. Pleasant, Robert McFadden and Thomas McFadden (Ingra) both of Columbia, SC, one brother, Harry Frances, forty-seven grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. And a special family friend Stephon German.
