Louise Luper Fitzgerald, 79, of Galax, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 201,7 in the Waddell Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on March 26, 1937, in Grayson County, to Robert and Martha Wells Luper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Fitzgerald. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Diane and David Wilson and Shelia F. Larrowe, all of Galax; four grandchildren and spouses; one great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Eddie Ellis of Galax; brother and friend, Bob Luper and Gayle Sutherland of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Harold Fitzgerald of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Baywood Wesleyan Church with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until time for the service at the Baywood Wesleyan Church.
