Louise Reiff, 100, Monticello, passed away at 6:10 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital of Monticello, surrounded by her family.She was born on Feb. 23, 1916, in Carroll County, Adams Township, to the late Quincy V. and Mary (Wolfe) Frye. On Nov. 26, 1935, in Monticello, she married John R. "Bob" Reiff; he passed away on Feb. 8, 2003. Louise had lived in Carroll and White County all her life.She attended grade school at Adams Township and then went onto Burnettsville. Louise was a farm wife and helped her late husband, Bob. She helped deliver several babies in her neighborhood.Louise was an amazing cook and was known to cook and feed her grandchildren anything they wanted to eat. She attended the Idaville First Church of God. Louise and her late husband, Bob, enjoyed traveling.She enjoyed reading before her eyesight went bad.Grandma Louise always loved and enjoyed a good party, and we were all looking forward to celebrating her 101st birthday on Feb. 23. Surviving is daughter, Marilyn Lesher, rural Idaville; daughter-in-law, Reta Reiff, rural Monticello; grandchildren, Jeff Lesher, Monticello, Teri (John) Roscka, Monticello, Bill (Amy) Reiff, rural Monticello, Steve Lesher, rural Idaville, Mari (Danny) Barnes, Battle Ground, Cindy (Gary) Allen, Monticello, and David "Dave" (Angie) Reiff, rural Burnettsville; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Quincy V. and Mary (Wolfe) Frye; husband, John R. "Bob" Reiff; son, John T. Reiff; son-in-law, Donald "Don" Lesher; grandson, Greg Lesher; and brothers, Bailey and Dick Frye.Visitation will be from noon – 3 p.m. Friday at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Friday with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating.
