Louise RichardsAbilene, TXLouise Richards, 94, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in her home, surrounded with the love of her family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Elmwood Funeral Home; 5750 US HWY 277 South. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2:00PM at Elmwood Funeral Home with Jeff Reeds officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.Louise was born on October 6, 1922 to Jean and Lucy Lancaster. She graduated high school as valedictorian of her class. She met the love of her life Billy Richards and shared 61 beautiful years together. Louise worked as a manager at the Wooten/Winsor hotel until she retired in 1986. She enjoyed being outside, hunting and fishing with her family. Billy and Louise would go camping and go to horse races together occasionally. They also built a home together. Louise is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Murel McGuire. She is survived by her husband, Billy Richards; son, Robert Smith, and nephew Johnny Lancaster.
