Louise ShawJuly 20, 1928 - Oct. 28, 2016NORTH LIBERTY - Louise Marie Shaw: age 88 passed away on October 28th 2016 in her home with her loving family by her side. Louise was born on July 20th 1928 in Laporte to Glenn and Writhe (Knowlton) Hostetler. On April 4th 1949 in Walkerton, she married John Shaw. Together they enjoyed 67 years of marriage. John and Louise loved traveling to Arizona and summer trips to Alaska. Louise will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and all the lives she touched. Louise was preceded in death by her parents: Glenn and Writhe Hostetler. She is survived by her husband: John Shaw, children: Linda (Jim) Marshall, Geary (Deb) Shaw, Brian (Linda) Shaw, Kenneth (Roberta) Shaw and Scott (Shelly) Shaw. sisters: Joanne Kattau and Betty Sather. thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Shaw will be held on Friday, November 4th 2016 in the Walkerton United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia Street, at 1:00 pm (ET) with Rev. Perry Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Visitation from 11 am until the time of the service. Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton is in charge of arrangements.
