Louise W. Morell, 98, of Lafayette, passed away on September 14, 2014 at 8:40 a.m. Louise was born on March 10, 1916 in Peru, IN to the late William H. and Florence (Lewis) Wepler. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School, and went on to attend Indiana Business College. On January 13, 1940, she married John Francis Morell, and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1995. Louise worked as a Librarian at the Ft. Wayne Public Library before retiring in 1985. She grew up and resided in Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne until her retirement in 1985, when she moved to Frankfort, IN with John. Louise enjoyed ceramics, genealogy research, playing the organ, and crocheting. She also loved watching her husband working in the garden, traveling, Purdue sports, and reading.Surviving are two children, John David (Bonnie) Morell of Park Ridge, IL and Martha JoAnn Worden of Lafayette. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Robert John Morell of Park Ridge, IL, Julie Lynn (Ray) Greve of Elmhurst, IL, Alison Johanna Worden Lopez of Lafayette, Kathryn Maureen Louise Worden of Nashville, TN, and four great grandchildren, Alexis, Paige, Lyla Greve and Teodoro Worden Lopez.She is preceded in death by one brother, Jesse "Bud" Wepler.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Mann officiating.
