YORK Lovice Irene (McMullen) Englert, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Manor Care South. She was born on February 17, 1921, to Earl Downing McMullen and Grace Irene (Baublitz) McMullen. Lovice spent some formative years in Dover, and with her ancestors and family, lived in the country and close to the land. She came from a hard working, honest family. On April 21, 1946, she married Roy Bernard Englert, her one true love, and together they raised two daughters, a son, and a granddaughter. Lovice treasured her family above all else and spent her life keeping a clean, safe, and healthy home for her husband and children. Her watchful care extended to others in the family, including her own mother and brother, Robert, and sister, Sandy, and many of her husband's family members. Her cooking, baking, and stitchery skills were appreciated by all. She and her husband taught their family by word and deed to work hard and serve God by serving others. She will be sorely missed and is now in the safe and peaceful arms of her husband and the Lord. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. She is survived by two daughters, Susan I. Graver of Stewartstown and Jane I. Englert of York; a son, James B. Englert of Spring Grove; a granddaughter, Leah Garland of Seven Valleys; a sister, Sandra Palmieri of Red Lion; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Englert of York. The visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2014, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Mitzel officiating. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
