Harlingen, TX - Lucia Moreno, 76, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 10, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on February 29, 1940 in Santa Rosa, Texas to the late Marcelina and Toribio Lopez. Lucy was a devoted and the beloved wife of 51 years to Lorenzo R. Moreno and together they lovingly raised their son, Hector (Mary) Moreno and three daughters, Lorena (Israel) Marroquin, Leticia (David) Gonzalez, and Sylvia Gonzalez. For over 50 years she worked as a beautician and made many wonderful friends along the way.She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Heliodoro Lopez and Alfredo Lopez. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, children, sisters, Elida (Raul) Hinojosa and Adela Lopez, brothers Lucio (Olivia) Lopez and Juan (Sylvia) Lopez. Along with them her grandchildren, Mac James Moreno, Thomas Lorenzo Moreno, Jacob Israel Marroquin, David Alejandro Gonzalez, Charlie (Jaclyn) Gonzalez, Homer Gonzalez and Valerie Gonzalez and numerous nieces and nephews . A memorial service with the reciting of the holy rosary, mass and inurnment will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. under the direction of Heavenly Grace Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to all their family and friends for their love and countless prayers.
