BEAUPRE, Lucien Maxime Joseph It is with saddened hearts we say goodbye to Lucien Beaupre of Morinville. He passed away Sunday morning September 17, 2017 at the age of 72. Lucien was born on October 22, 1944 in Edmonton to parents, the late Ephrem Gustave Beaupre and Marie-Anne Boisvert. Lucien was the oldest of three children, sister Germaine Marie Cloutier (Richard) B.C., sister late Cecile Juliette Marie Bourgeols. Lucien will be missed by his nieces and nephews and the many friends he had.Lucien was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176 for many years. He did many years of volunteering at the legion. With his last position being bottle officer. He also was a member of the Morinville Lions Club for many years he was the Clubs lion tamer and made coffee for the meetings, volunteering for many other events. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years. Lucien has received many awards for his volunteering. Lucien also helped his father for many years and then took the job over after his father retired of caretaker of the Parish Hall in Morinville. He also worked for the Town of Morinville for 10 years. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday September 22, 2017 at the St. Jean Baptiste Church, 10020-100 Avenue, Morinville, Alberta. Interment to take place at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Morinville Legion Branch 176.Lucien enjoyed playing darts and shuffle board, which he won many awards for. By the families' request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176, Lions Club, The Cross Cancer Foundation, CNIB, or to a charity of one's choice.
