Lucile Claire Gygi Davis, 88, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016.The family will receive visitors from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Lemons Funeral Home. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 4211 W. Second St., in Plainview. Graveside services will take place at the Wanship Cemetery in Wanship, Utah, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016. Arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home.Lucile was born on June 30, 1928, in Los Angeles, CA, to George and Zella (Hance) Gygi. She married William Davis on Sept. 16, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and together, they raised a beautiful family. She was a devoted homemaker who cared deeply for her husband and children. She also worked part-time doing work for her community here in Plainview as well as the Humane Society. She was devoted to her LDS faith and served in many callings. She could light up a room with her joy and enthusiasm. Her positive disposition was a blessing to anyone who came in contact with her. She faced her death with acceptance and a cheerful attitude and was an inspiration to many.She was preceded in death by her parents.Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, William, of the home; two daughters, Leanne Davis of Woods Cross, Utah, and Lanette Davis, of Plainview; three sons, William G. "Bill" Davis of Tooele, Utah, Dr. Craig L. Davis of Bartonville, Ill., and Dr. Kevin B. Davis of New Braunfels, Texas.
