Lucille C. (nee Schimmel) Sciotti, age 85, of Tawas City died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Dec. 14, 1928 in Centerline, daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Schnoblen) Schimmel.Lucille was a member of East Tawas Holy Family Catholic Church. A caring wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend, Lucille leaves behind many wonderful memories. She treasured the time spent together with all of her family. She will truly be missed by many.She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Orlando; and their eight children, Sandra (Mark) Fortin, Margaret (Carl) Celli, Deborah (Richard) Neier, John (Robin), Maria (Richard) DeKeyser, Joe (Missy), Lucy and Susan (Michael) Wetherwax; 12 grandchildren, Marc, Jennifer, Christina, Carrie, Andrew, Joel, Andrea, Marisa, Serina, Jake, Donald and Megan; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and other family. She is also survived by two sisters, Imelda Shelton and Ann Marie Ioppolo.Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. March 15 at Holy Family Catholic Church. The family will welcome family and friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service.
