Lucille WylieTEMPLE, Texas -- Graveside services for Lucille Mae Tople Wylie will be at 1 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Wylie died Sunday, Decemer 4, 2016 at Wellington Place Living and Rehabilitation Center in Temple, Texas.Lucille was born on April 29,1926 to William S. and Sarah M. Tople in Norton, Ohio. Lucille graduated from Norton High School. She attended Lakeview Methodist Church in Barberton, Ohio where she was an active member in the MYF. That is where she met Robert Dutcher Wylie. They were married on May 21, 1949. They lived in Barberton, Ohio until 1961 when they relocated to San Antonio with their three daughters. In San Antonio they were all very active in Travis Park United Methodist Church. Lucille moved to Temple to be closer to her daughter secondary to health issues. In Temple, she was active volunteering at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels and Churches Touching Lives for Christ. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet, knit and do hand crafts.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in September, 1972 and her mother, father and brothers, Clarence and William.Survivors include her three daughters, Cindy Hertenstein and husband, Ed of New Albany, Ohio; their children, Amy Hertenstein of New York, New York, Mark Hertenstein of Portland, Ore., Linda Tyrrell and husband Frank of Atlanta, Ga., and Karen Connell and husband Keith of Temple, Texas.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.The family wishes to thank the staff of Wellington Place for their tremendous love, caring and support during our mother's short stay there, and Dr. Robert Churchill Scott for his amazing patience, skills and talents that gave us an extra 12 years to spend with our mother.
