Luvinia Pearse Salcher passed away peacefully in her sleep today in a nursing home in Boston, at the age of 98. She was born the first child of John and Emma Pearse in 1925. Luvinia's mother died when she was five years old and her father remarried. Of her eight siblings and half-siblings only two are still with us. She was married to Elmer Salcher from 1946 until his death in 1996 at age 73. Elmer and Luvinia had a daughter, Edwina, who passed away in 2013. Through Edwina, Luvinia had a granddaughter, Lana, and three great-grandchildren: Eddie, Katie, and Ray.
"Slowly ends life's ebbing flow, as quickly dims a soul's enchanted glow. Don't worry about our desperate woe, we'll be safe here until it's our time to go" - Lana
"In memory of our Grandy, let your wings take you to heaven" - Eddie, Katie, and Ray
"Remembering our dearest sister. We will be together again." - Linda and Burt
"Luvinia will be remembered as a kind, lighthearted, warm, and energetic individual, who stayed hopeful and stoic until the very end." - Alton, son-in-law
A private funeral will be held in the coming weeks and Luvinia will be laid to rest alongside her husband and daughter.
