Lydia WoodLydia (Lee) Maria Marez Wood passed away August 7th, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 27th, 1949, in Chama, New Mexico to Santiago James and Adelina Maria Marez. Lydia moved to Fort Collins when she was 13 and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1966. Lydia married Albert Wood, Jr. in 1970, her husband of 47 years, and worked at Hewlett Packard for 37 years. Lydia loved music, dancing and cooking and especially her grandchildren. Lydia was preceded in death by her father and mother, survived by her husband Albert, son, Dax (Cassandra), her daughter, Tahnee, three grandchildren, Kaya, Alexander and Nazaris, numerous nieces and nephews, and life-long friends. The family would like to thank all of her doctors and the Poudre Valley Hospital ICU department for their heartfelt warmth and compassion for Lydia and her family during this emotional time. There will be a Rosary at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, August 11th at 1:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be immediately following at 2 pm, interment following the service at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ( www.diabetes.org/honor).
