SHEFFIELD LAKE – Lydia Wooster (nee Dey), 90, of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Lorain and Avon, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a long illness. She was born on February 11, 1926 in Cleveland. Lydia was a cook at Good Samaritan for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed reading, word and number puzzles, game shows, and old movies. Lydia is survived by her daughters, Kathy Baldauf (Gene, dec.) of Elyria and Cindy O'Keefe (Dennis) of Sheffield Lake; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elsie Garlik (Fred) of Valley City, Olga Dey of Berea, and Wanda Singer of Fairview Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H.; parents Jacob and Anna (nee Witzke); son Frank Wooster; daughter Pamela Wooster; and siblings Martha Pritchard, Frieda Hall, Annie Maggio, Carl, and Otto. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon on Wednesday, February 1 from 4-7pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 2 at 11:30am.
