Lynda Sloan, born on December 5, 1946, in Decatur, Mississippi, passed away on April 12, 2025. She was a beloved member of the Decatur community.
Lynda had four children: Lynn Wall, Lisa Norris, Pam Parker, and Laura Blackwell. She had 8 grandchildren. Kelby Wall, Kirk Parker, Kelly Parker, Dillon Norris, April Brown , Kaleb Blackwell, Kameryn Nolan and Adalyn Clark. She also had 11 great -grandchildren.
Lynda attended Decatur High School and graduated in 1965. She continued her studies at East Central Junior College.
After completing her education, Lynda pursued a career as a hairdresser. She worked in the industry until her retirement in 2001. Her passion for making others look and feel their best was evident in all she did.
Lynda battled Parkinson's disease with grace and strength. She faced the challenges with resilience and determination.
Lynda will be remembered for her kindness, her selflessness, her warm smile, her nurturing want to always put others needs ahead of her own. Most of all, her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
