Lynda Louise Nelson Ruyle-BlakeOxnard, CALynda Louise Ruyle-Blake nee Nelson, 75, passed quietly in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 8, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1941, the eldest child of Ing and Kathryn Nelson of Oxnard. She graduated from Oxnard High School. Lynda is survived by her sons Mark and Dane, her brother Joe Nelson, her daughter-in-law Shauna Ruyle, her granddaughter Lisa Pernall, and a few great grandchildren, cousins, and family and friends, and her kitty Kingston. Last year she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Blake and son Lance Blake. Lynda greatly enjoyed the California life style of sun, beaches and the Missions. She had a keen interest in American Southwestern Indian artifacts, Roman history, and Christmas was her favorite time of year to celebrate. She loved shrimp salad.A memorial service for Lynda's remembrance is to be celebrated at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, CA 93003 at 2 PM on July 8, 2017.
