Lynn "Diane" IsamLynn "Diane" Isam, 71, passed away peacefully, in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Ellensburg, WA. She was born on September 7, 1945 in Seattle, WA to Logan and Betty Buchanan.Diane was a very physically active person who loved gardening, hiking, fishing, rafting, actually anything to do with enjoying God's creation. But her greatest joy and desire was her continued need to enlarge her relationship with God. It was the most important thing to her that she wanted to share with everyone and have them see growing and growing in her life. We all witnessed this in her, even up to her last breath. Her other greatest joy in life was loving her children and grandchildren who she could not be more proud of. Diane was a devoted mom and grandma and a faithful friend to anyone who came into her life.Diane received her degree in nursing at Skagit Valley College. She went on to work as a nurse at various hospitals and assisted care facilities throughout the state. Diane was well suited for her position as a nurse. She could connect easily with people, had an infectious laugh and a genuine caring spirit especially for the elderly. Diane was an advocate and one who did not hesitate to open her home up to those in the community who were vulnerable and in need for life's basics. We will greatly miss Diane's cheerful and loving nature and her great sense of humor but will carry her in our hearts forever. She is survived by her daughters Sherlene (Brad) Boles and Kristi (Eric) Cundy; sons Michael (Sarah) Isam and David (Jeran) Isam; sister Cheryl (Herman) Cornelius; brothers Larry (Kitty) Buchanan and Ron (Nancy) Buchanan; grandchildren Kara, Russell, Danielle (Josh), AJ, Corbin, Patrick, Logan, Liam, Austin (Shayla), Alexa and Karson; great-grandchildren Aleah, Braxtyn and Brynlee; best friend pup, Otis and numerous nieces and nephews.
