KENDALLVILLE — Mabel Ustella Frick, age 97, of Kendallville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. Mrs. Frick was born on Aug. 15, 1918, in rural Helmer, Indiana, to the late Harry Krehl and Emilie (Schrieber) Krehl. Mabel graduated from Rome City High School and then she married Richard B. Frick on Oct. 2, 1949. She resided at rural route Corunna for many years prior to moving to Kendallville in 1993. She was a homemaker and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Corunna, and a member of its ladies aid. Mabel was an active member and served in many offices and committees. Survivors include two sons, David L. Frick of Portland, Michigan and Dennis K. Frick and Crystal Francis of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Julia Frick of Indianapolis; a grandson, John Frick Francis of Indianapolis; and seven nieces and nephews. Mabel was also preceded in death by her husband and son, Terry Frick. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 from 3-7 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 389 C.R. 12, Corunna. Officiating the funeral service is Pastor Al Wingfield.
