Mabel L. ModglinPEORIA - Mabel L. Modglin, 95, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Peoria on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.She was born on January 12, 1921, in Ottawa, Illlinois, to Joseph and Mary (Facer) Tomaszewski. She married Charles H. Modglin Sr. on October 5, 1946, in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1996, in Manito, Illinois.She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by one son, Charles H. (Christie Ricketts) Modglin Jr. of Peoria, Illinois; and one sister, Mary Ann Davis of Bartonville, Illinois. She has several nieces and nephews surviving. Mabel was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Bartonville. She had worked in earlier years at Kresges Department Store in Peoria and the Pere Marquette Hotel. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Father David Heinz will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
