Mabel Y. Baca, 65, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, in Las Vegas.She was born on Sept. 27, 1948, in Trujillo to Narciso Yara and Antonia Gallegos.Mabel liked to crochet. She was Catholic and member of the San Miguel del Vado Church and at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas.She is preceded in death by her father, Narciso Yara; husband, Adelaido Baca; and son, Michael J. Yara.She is survived by her mother, Antonia Yara; daughter, Adele Baca, both of Las Vegas; sons, Hilario "Lalo" Baca of Chapelle, Roman Baca (Krystal C'de Baca) of Las Vegas; step-daughter, Elizabeth (Henry) Gallagher of Surprise, Ariz.; grandchildren, Damian and Tasia Yara both of Las Vegas; Kandice (Valentino) Treas-Mora of Santa Fe, Henry Gonzales of Las Vegas, Byron and Alejandro Baca and their mother, Maria Ugarte, all of Albuquerque, Katelyn and Dominic Baca all of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren, Michaelangelo and Raphael Leapingwolf of Santa Fe; brothers, Alfonso Yara of Las Vegas, Nev., Michael Yara (Gloria), Arturo Yara, Eusebio (Mary) Yara, all of Las Vegas; sisters, Fedelina Yara (Al) Las Vegas; Lorraine Yara of Denver, Colo.; and Carmen Yara of Las Vegas; special friends, JoAn Baca, Gloria Sena, Yvonne Baca, and Margie Garcia; numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday with funeral mass to be held at 9 a.m. Saturday with both services being held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant.
