Viewing will be from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, Friday with a visitation from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Madeene was born on January 23, 1928 in Antlers, OK to the late Otis and Mildred Bagwell. She married Walter Vernon Edwards in Abilene on June 11, 1978. Madeene was affiliated with the VFW and Hendrick Hospital Auxillary as well as a Gold Star Mother. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her son, Douglas Presley McCorkle, Jr. who was killed while serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam, and a grandchild, Shannon Renee Tessier.Survivors include her DaughterRonnie Cheryl McCorkle.
