Madelyn Marie Pierce was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. Born on March 21, 1943, Madelyn was the daughter of James Mason and Clementine Ruffin. She is survived by her mother, Clementine Ruffin; her sister, Helen (Toni) Gordon; her brother, Howard King; and her four children: Timothy Pierce (Angela), Michael Pierce, Marc Pierce (Deborah), and Angelique Pierce Williams (Benjamin Sr.).
She is lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren: Marquez Pierce, Benjamin Williams Jr., Joshua Williams, Caleb Williams, Lauren Pierce, Tiffany Pierce, Joi Pierce Willard (Brandon), Hope Pierce, Mariah Pierce, Macayla Pierce, Alex Pierce McDonald (Ed), Aaron Pierce, and Ambre Pierce. Great Grandchildren: Zion Pierce, Zacharias Pierce, Athena Willard, Ezekiel Willard, and Angelo McDonald. Her commitment to family was unparalleled, and her legacy will endure through the generations.
Madelyn attended Catholic School in Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania, where she excelled academically and built a strong foundation for her professional career. She worked at the Pentagon, the Post Office, and Home Interiors and Gifts, where she made meaningful contributions and left a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the community.
Outside of her work, Madelyn had a passion for reading, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She believed in the transformative power of knowledge, constantly seeking to learn new things and eagerly sharing her wisdom with others.
Madelyn will be remembered for her compassionate heart, unshakable strength, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family. Her trust in God helped her navigate every challenge, and her example of faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
