ANGOLA — Mahlon Stanley "Cy" Cleckner, 79, of Angola died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Cameron Memorial Hospital of Angola. Mr. Cleckner worked for 28 years on the Indiana Toll Road, and retired as assistant supervisor in 1998. He attended Metz High School. Mr. Cleckner occasionally attended the Olde York Church and North Scott Christian Church. He was born on May 31, 1936, in Angola to Robert and Dorothy (Wisner) Cleckner. He married Virginia Ann Fraley on Feb. 4, 1955, in Metz and she survives. Also surviving are his six children, Rick (Deborah) Cleckner of Angola, Dick Cleckner of Angola,Nick Cleckner of Bluffton, Vickie (Mark) White of Pleasant Lake, Dennis Cleckner of Angola, and Kenny Cleckner of Angola; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Cleckner of Angola; and a sister-in-law, Judy Cleckner of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gordon Cleckner. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, with the Rev. Mike Hesterman officiating. Burial will be in South Scott Cemetery at Angola. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are to the North Scott Christian Church.
