Malinda Moore Cotton, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on December 30, 2024, in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 16, 1945, to William and Christine Moore, Malinda grew up in a close-knit family where she learned the values of kindness, compassion, and hard work. She was a proud graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a degree in Psychology. Malinda dedicated her life to nursing and nurturing patients to health for 35 years.

Malinda is survived by her husband, William Cotton, three children, Angela C. (Michael), Andrew C. (Rebecca), and Andre C. (Tracy); her six grandchildren, Brianna, Airianna, Audrianna, Marcus, Nylah, and Imoni; and her sister, Patricia O'Hara. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Moore.
