In Loving Memory

It is with great lament that we announce the passing of Mamie Butler, born on March 18, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York. Mamie was the daughter of James and Ida Butler and the widow of Herman Carter, who preceded her in death.

Mamie is survived by her eight children, Novis, Herman Jr., Tabitha, Regina, Daniel, Carlton, Dacia and Michael. She also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, Breanna, Monica, Joshua, Terrel, Malik, Courtney, Travis, Mya, Quincy, Sierra, Wind, Color, Blue, Tyreek, Tylon, Amari, Aaliyah and one grate grand child.

Throughout her life, Mamie dedicated herself to the education system, working as a School Aide at PS 25 until her retirement in 2015. She was a vital member of the Public School organization, providing invaluable support to students and faculty alike.

Aside from her professional endeavors, Mamie had a passion for pottery and crochet, spending hours creating beautiful works of art that will be cherished by her loved ones.

While Mamie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, we take solace in the memories of her kindness, humor, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Mamie Butler. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you.
