On September 22, 2025, Mamie Louise Lindsey Shelton of Marshall, North Carolina, passed away at the age of 63. Born on September 25, 1961, Mamie brought laughter and sterness but love to all around.

Mamie is the daughter of the late Granny Lousie Thompson Lindsey. Mamie was a mother to her five children, David, Michael, Rebekah, and Anna. She was also a proud grandmother to three grandchildren James Shelton, Isaac Shelton, Grayson Shelton. Mamie also had a childhood friend of Michael's that she claimed as her own Clayton Sherlin.

Mamie also had special friends that she loved Stacey Hivner (13 years), Sherlenna Denton, and Junior Ingram.

Mamie's wild spirit and good food will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Mamie also had a dog she adored named lady and her granddog Bitbit.

Mamie was known for her quick wit and bluntness she had a gift for loving her grandkids. Her love for life and sassy attitude left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In her free time, Mamie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking for her loved ones. Her famous pasta bake will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to taste it all the time.

Despite this sudden and tragic event, Mamie's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Although Mamie may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will always be present in the cherished memories we shared with her. Rest in peace, Mamie Shelton. You will be dearly missed.
