Manford Lonnie Bowman passed away on December 17th, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 14th, 1926 in Aledo, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Beulah Bowman and was the 5th child born of their 9 children.Manford moved to Yuma in 1945 and worked in the farming industry. He married Emma Dean (Deanie) McCulley on December 21st, 1948, and they had three boys: Steve, Craig, and Neil. In 1957, the family moved to Blaisdell where Manford managed the alfalfa dehydrater located there. He and Deanie continued to live in Blaisdell until his passing. Manford is survived by his wife Deanie, Sister Mary, Sister-in-law Neva, sons Steve (Johnny Faye), Craig (Betsy), Neil (Beth), 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 28th, 2015 at 10:30 am at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Yuma and we would like to give special thanks to Amy and Ernie for their loving and excellent care of Manford. We would also like to give heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Neva for her endless support.
