Manuel A. Gallegos, 48, currently of Portales, passed away on Sunday Feb. 9, 2014.Manuel was a native of Villanueva born on May 26, 1965 to the late Ramon and Marcelina Gallegos. He is preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brother, Isidro Gallegos; nephew; Don Gabriel Gallegos; and four infant siblings.He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Mary Tonie Loera (Edwardo), Henry Gallegos (Lugie), Adelio Gallegos (Geraldine), all of Albuquerque, Joe R. Gallegos of Los Lunas, Jerry Gallegos and Ruben Gallegos (Josie) of Sacatosa, Vicente Gallegos (Annabelle) of Villanueva, Irene Gonzales (Jessie) of Portales, Wilfred Gallegos (Hinnia) of Cañones, Ramon Gallegos Jr. (Vicky) of Vallito de Piedra, Cleo Gonzales (Matthew) of Gonzales Ranch, Reyes Gallegos of Albuquerque, Louis Gallegos (Holly) of Villanueva, George Gallegos of Gonzales Ranch and Lorenzo Gallegos of Villanueva. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Julia Gallegos of Los Lunas; 45 nieces and nephews, 52 great-nieces and nephews; and 51 great-great-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services for Manuel will be held at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva as follows: Rosary was held Thursday evening; funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Dominguez at 11 a.m. today (Friday). Interment will follow the mass at the cemetery in Sena.
