ESTRADA,Manuel AnthonyManuel Anthony Estrada, also known as "Tony" and "Big T", of Round Rock, Texas was called by our heavenly father on November 8, 2016. He was born on October 31, 1961 to Manuel Adams Estrada and Velia Cantu Estrada in Austin, Texas. Tony was a 1980 graduate of LBJ High School and attended The
University of Texas at Austin. His passion for sports began at an early age by playing little league baseball and football at Delwood Optimist. This continued through his high school years where he was the placekicker on the football team as well as a loyal LBJ Jaguar. Tony was employed by Austin Water Utility with the City of Austin for 28 years. He retired in 2010 to enjoy the better things in life, such as spending time with his son Jack Cooper and beloved bulldog, Suki, family gatherings, being an avid and passionate sports fanatic, with his favorite team being The Texas Longhorns (Hook'em) and his favorite getaway and second home, Galveston, Texas. This was a special place both he and Cooper loved to visit. Tony never met a stranger and was always known for his infectious laughter and kind giving heart. He is survived by his son, Jack Cooper Estrada; parents, Manuel Adams and Velia Cantu Estrada; sisters, Melissa(Missy) Silguero and husband David, Jennifer Ruedas and husband Anthony; nieces and nephews, Mike Ruedas, Anthony Ruedas, Jr., Megan Silguero, Katie Silguero, Justin Ruedas and Dylan Ruedas whom he loved very much. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Uvaldo and Cecelia Cantu and Joe Angel and Josephine Adams Estrada. The family will receive friends starting at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016, at St. William Catholic Church, 620 Round Rock West Drive, Round Rock, Texas.
