Manuel Arturo Lira, known to his loved ones as Manny, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, at the age of 62 in Mesa, Arizona.
Manny was born on January 30, 1961, in Eagle Pass, Texas. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
Manny was a kind and generous person who lived life on his own terms. He had a warm and welcoming personality, always making new friends wherever he went. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Kristela, whom he loved dearly. Manny took great pride in providing for Kristela and always put her needs first. He cherished their bond and was never one to be strict or the disciplinarian with her.
Family was important to Manny, and he did everything he could to support his parents. He was a loving son who always wanted to be there for them in any way possible.
Manny's father, Manuel D. Lira, preceded him in death, along with his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In his professional life, Manny was an accomplished drywall taper and finisher. He began his career with Burke Bros. Drywall and later went on to start his own successful business, KLM Contractors. Manny was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his commitment to delivering the highest quality of work to his customers.
Outside of work, Manny had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drag races, but his true joy came from 4-wheeling whenever he had the opportunity. Manny loved the thrill of adventure and the freedom of exploring nature.
As per Manny's request, no services will be held to commemorate his life. However, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristela (David) Ramirez, his mother, Rebecca Lira, his brother, Artemio (Jessica Taverni) Lira, his sisters, Sonia (Scott) Sherwood, Rene (Donald) Moody, Angelica (Rocky) Troutman, Rebecca (Scott) Anderson, and his grandsons, Joshua, Kayson, and Christian Ramirez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Manny will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, generosity, and love for his family will always be remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
