It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcos Fuentes, beloved son of the late Mr. Ramon Fuentes Sr and Mrs. Concepcion Villa. Marcos was born on June 20, 1967, in Post, Texas, and passed away at his residence in Austin, Texas on November 4, 2024, He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and service.

After graduating from Hermleigh High School in 1985 as Salutatorian of his class, Marcos, also known as Marc, continued his education at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Services, where he graduated in 1993. His passion for helping others led him to a career in the health services field where he worked tirelessly to provide compassionate care to those in need.

Although Marc did not have any children of his own, he helped raise four nieces and nephews. He also had three very special pets; Victor, Dalillah, and Sally. He touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit and selfless attitude and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Marc’s loving spirit is carried on by his only sister Minia Fuentes from Austin, Texas, and four brothers; Ramon Fuentes Jr. and wife Kathy from Mart, Texas, Ascension (AC) Fuentes and wife Anna (Junie) from Smithville, Texas, Raymundo (Ray) Fuentes from Charlotte, North Carolina, and Martin Fuentes and wife Rayanne from Winnsboro, Texas. Marc is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews and eleven great grand nieces and nephews.

Services for Marcos will be held at Bell Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday. November 6th from 9 am to 8 pm, Thursday November 7th from 9-6 pm followed by a Rosary from 6-7pm. Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hermleigh, Texas on Friday November 8th at 10 am. Internment to follow at the Snyder Cemetery.

May Marcos Fuentes rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
