Marenes R. (Bud) TrippAGE: 85 • West Grove, PABud Tripp, age 85, passed away on January 25, 2017 at Jenner's Pond Retirement Community in West Grove, PA. He was born on August 20, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Bud graduated from Colgate University, received a Master's Degree from the University of Rochester and obtained his PhD from Rutgers University. He also obtained a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health. Bud went on to teach Microbiology at the University of Delaware for 35 years, where he also served for several years as Director of the School of Life and Health Sciences. He retired in 1995. Bud was a quiet man who enjoyed teaching, reading, and birding.Bud is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane, whom he met at the University of Rochester; sons: Dan (Laurie), Andy (Betsy), and Steve (Lamorah); daughter-in-law, Carolyn; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth.A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Jenner's Pond.
