Margaret Pfitzmayer, affectionately known as “Marg” was born on April 29th, 1932. She was born in Germany, to parents Jacob and Caroline Schweizer.
As a toddler, her family moved to Brooklyn. She attended Sewanakha High School, where she decided to take vocational courses to become a hair stylist.
Margaret was always very talented, and into fashion. Head to toe she was known to be well put together. In 1952, Margaret was married to Albert Pfitzmayer. He was enlisted in the navy, and the married couple relocated in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Thier First Born, Gale was born in 1954.
When Albert was discharged, the family moved to Franklin square, in Long Island. In 1967, Elizabeth, their second daughter was born.
One morning, there was a knock at the door. Jehovah’s Witnesses offered to study the Bible with the family. Margaret studied the Truth book, and was baptized in 1975. Margaret loved, and had a deep appreciation for the truth. She had the joy of serving Jehovah along with her two daughters for many years. She also loved the field ministry, and had much success in the door to door work.
Margaret also loved travel. She would often vacation in Aruba with her daughter Gale. As Margaret matured in age, Gale was of much help to her mother, and aided with the things she still loved to do. The two were often together, shopping and going out to eat.
Margaret loved those close to her , and was always ready to offer a warm smile and Encouraging word. Even as her heath declined, she kept her smile and comical personality.
Margaret fell asleep in death on October 2nd 2022. Her Faith reassures those that loved her, that they can look forward to a day that they will see her again. This promise at John 5:28,29 was one that that Margaret held dear.
