Margaret Ann MillerStamford, TXMargaret Miller, 76, was called to her eternal home and reunited with her beloved husband, Mike Miller, on Monday, July 3, 2017.Margaret Ann Nauert, was born on May 8, 1941 in Stamford, TX to Emma Pearson Nauert and Richard Nauert. To this union two children were born; Margaret and Dwain. She was a lifetime member of Bethel Lutheran Church where she attended Sunday school and was confirmed in 1955. She was a 1958 graduate of Stamford High School and was a lifetime resident of the Stamford area. Margaret married her soul mate, Mike Miller on May 3, 1958 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ericksdahl. Margaret and Mike were blessed with three sons; Gary, Ricky and Dennis. Dennis preceded his mother in death as an infant.Margaret was a licensed drug and alcohol rehab counselor for many years, and was an active member of ALNON. She worked at the First National Bank in Stamford, the Jones County Court House and as a probation officer. Margaret also known as "Gran" devoted her life to taking care of her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her fabulous southern/Swedish cooking, countless hours of watching grandkids play sports, the opportunity to read a good book and being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Survivors include; 2 sons Gary Miller and wife Jenny and Ricky Miller and wife Terri all of Abilene, TX; 1 grandson Lance Miller and wife Tiffany; 3 granddaughters, Lainey Alcorn and husband Josh, Kailea Allen and husband Andrew and Shelby Williams; 1 great grandson, Beckham Miller; 1 brother, David Gentry of El Paso, TX; 2 sisters-in-law Sue Gilbreath and husband Garland and Karen Nauert all of Stamford; 2 brothers-in-law, Andy Miller and wife Mary Nell of Artesia NM and Lanny Miller and wife Sandra of Abilene, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Mike Miller, son Dennis Miller, her parents, stepfather Ross Gentry, brother, Dwain Nauert, sister Mary Beth Law, and sister-in-law Carla Gentry.Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017, 2:00PM, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ericksdahl with Rev. Richard Strait officiating assisted by Don Heller, PLM.
