This obituary is administered by:

A life time learner, educator, leader, and friend, you will be missed.

Margaret Alexander, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2023 at her home in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was born on September 15th, 1941 to William Alexander and Lillian Whited of Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

Margaret was a graduate of Mount Juliet High School, where she developed her love of learning. She continued her studies at Austin Peay State University, where she earned a degree in Education.

For many years, Margaret worked as a teacher at NorthWest High School and Austin Peay State University. She was beloved by her colleagues and students alike. She was passionate about education and was always eager to inspire the next generation.

Outside of work, Margaret dedicated much of her time to volunteer work, especially with Habitat for Humanity. She firmly believed in giving back to her community and making the world a better place.

Margaret was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church for many years, where she found comfort and strength in her faith. She was deeply committed to her church and cherished the friendships she made there.

Margaret had many hobbies that brought her joy throughout her life. She had a love for gardening. She was an excellent cook who loved to share her creations with family and friends. She was also a quilter and knitter, and was always working on a new project. In her later years, she became fascinated with ancestry work and spent many happy hours tracing her family's history.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Mayberry, her husband Jason, and their children; Maysun (Dylan) and Morgan (Tanner). Auldyn Wessell her husband Jeff and their children; Sean (Allison, Peyton and Sloane), Erinne (Elliott and Ellie), Courtney (Derek, Andrew and Blake), Braeden (Alec), MacKinnon, Caelan, Daniel, and Claire. Lewis Johnson his wife Susan and their 3 boys Luke, JP and Nolan. She was the best known as Memaw to all the children and their friends.

She had a circle of friends that anyone would be jealous. They truly rallied around her in her time of need.

While our hearts are heavy with grief at Margaret's passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that she lived a full and meaningful life. Her kindness, generosity, and intelligence touched the lives of everyone she met, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

You can to the family or in memory of Margaret Alexander.
