Margaret Anne GuiterasOxnard, CAMargaret Anne Guiteras, 86, passed away peacefully on her birthday, June 14, 2017 from complications resulting from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an amazing woman with a sense of humor, generous ways, and used her deep Catholic faith to outwardly live her life.Margaret was born on June 14, 1931, the youngest of five children to Francis and Marcella Brady of Boulder, Colorado. She met the love of her life, Joseph, while attending college at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Several years after they married, they settled their family in Southern California.Most of her life was spent devoted to the care of her family of six children. Margaret and Joe traveled the world together and shared many great adventures. They were married for almost 64 years.She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Guiteras of Oxnard, and five children: Laura Snyder (Daryl) of Northridge, Tom Guiteras (Carol) of Westchester, MaryAnne Holcomb (David) of Port Hueneme, Cathy Carlson (Phil) of Glendale, AZ, and Joanne Levin (David) of Moorpark. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Guiteras (Lisa) of Newbury Park. She had an amazing love for her twelve grandchildren: Cynthia, Anthony, Ryan, Tim, Rosemarie, Elizabeth, Caitlyn, Emily, Chloe, Hannah, Andrew, and Johnny, and two great grandchildren: Lucas and Sophia. Margaret was completely devoted to her family.The Memorial Mass is scheduled at 10:00am on July 7, 2017 at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 323 S. E Street, Oxnard, CA.
