Margaret B. EdwardsGIBSONBURG: Margaret B. Edwards, 96, of Gibsonburg passed away at , Perrysburg on Saturday, April 8, 2017. She was born on April 30, 1920 in New York, NY to Edward and Maybelle (Bowen) McCandlish.She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University and her Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Toledo. Margaret worked as an elementary teacher and a counselor in the Woodmore and Port Clinton School districts retiring in 1980.On January 21, 1943, she married Roy A. Edwards. Together they shared 54 years of marriage until his passing on March 12, 1997.Surviving are her children, Lori Rothert of Gibsonburg, Carol (Dan) Lindsay of Findlay, Douglas (Gail) Edwards of Gibsonburg, and Keith (Debbie) Edwards of Lawton, OK; sister, Hope Rider of Wabash, IN; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son-in-law, Charles Rothert; grandson, Anson Edwards and 6 siblings.Friends and Family are welcomed to the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. There will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Carol Williams-Young will officiate.
