Margaret Edna Story MyersMargaret Edna Story Myers, age 95, of Ellensburg, WA, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2014, in Ellensburg, WA. She was born on November 8, 1918, in Elizabeth Port, New Jersey, to her parents Harold R. Story and Caroline Meyers Story. Margaret was the second child of four children, Catherine Tisch and Olive Pirrocco who preceded her in death and Harold W. Story of Huntington, New York. On November 22, 1937, in Cranford, New Jersey, she married George Kelsall Myers who preceded her in death in 1973. He worked for the Boy Scouts of America for 38 years including Scout Executive of the Chief Seattle Council, BSA, 1959-1965. Margaret was employed by Chase Bank in New York City and was a substitute teacher. Margaret loved spending time with her family and church and enjoyed traveling, painting and writing poetry. She is survived by sons, George Timothy Myers (Roberta) of Seattle, WA, and David Richard Myers of Lantana, TX; daughter, Carol Margaret Tomicich (Calvin) of Cle Elum, WA; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Condolences may be sent to David R. Myers, 9013 Cypress Creek Rd, Lantana, TX 76226. Memorials are suggested to or your local Boy Scout Council. Arrangements are under the care of Steward & Williams Tribute Center.
